EP 126: In the fog of Pisces season

On the heels of a heavy week, the heavens grant us a light week with very few planetary transits! There are no mistakes in astrology. Pisces season is the time for rest, meditation, and recalibrating your nervous system. In plain speak, we’re preparing to crawl out of winter hibernation, rub the sleep from our eyes, and take in the first signs of spring.

This week is bookended by the Sun connecting with Pisces co-rulers, both currently in the sign of the fish.

Last weekend the Sun met up with Jupiter increasing your confidence and reigniting your faith in humanity. This weekend the Sun meets up with Neptune, giving you a glimpse of your subconscious and perhaps inspiring you to follow the muse to your art supplies or a musical instrument you used to play.

On Wednesday Mercury, the messenger moves from analytical Aquarius to imaginative Pisces. Mercury likes to express himself creatively when he’s in Pisces, but it can make it very hard for you to keep your calendar straight or proofread an email for grammatical errors.

You might notice that your dreams are more vivid over the coming weeks and that you don't feel like explaining yourself. In fact, you may not even be able to explain your ideas, thoughts, or feelings, because something about them feels outside the grasp of words.

In short, it can bring on brain fog.

On Sunday when the Sun meets Neptune he’ll be bringing up some deep-seated subconscious feelings. With the moon in Cancer at the same time, we’ll be riding the waves of the emotion ocean.

It could be an incredibly expansive and enlightening experience increasing your compassion and sensitivity in positive ways, possibly even making the way for forgiveness.

On the other hand, it might be very confusing or bring up a lot of self-doubts. You may feel unable to cope with what's going on in the world, and that could lead to a desire to escape reality. Try to escape with a good book, TV show, or a nature walk. Avoid any substances or habits that cause you to overdo it.

Just because it’s a light week astrologically doesn't mean it's going to feel light. Sometimes when we get space for rest, all the stuff we’ve been avoiding comes up to the surface. I find these astrological moments of quiet can provide a beneficial, albeit intense, space for feeling and healing.

This week protect your rest at all costs. Make time for the things that restore your soul and recalibrate your nervous system.
