EP 81: Saturn square Uranus brings the change we’ve been seeking

Saturn squares Uranus on the heels of last week's New Moon in Aquarius. You might feel like you're finally getting the fresh start you've been seeking. Or perhaps there is something occurring externally that is forcing you to make some changes.

This is the defining astrological transit of the year and we’ll be enjoying it (?) three times in total. This is the first, the second comes in June, and the third and most powerful one arrives in December.

Truth be told, you’ll be feeling the war of the old and new guard all year long. If there is something you’ve been resistant to let go of, this year might make you release it. If you’ve been dreading updating your tech systems or denying the inevitable course of climate change impacting your life… Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

This year the cracks in the old ways will be getting deeper and wider, but unlike the absolute implosion of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction of 2020, we now have an opportunity to take a pro-active approach in building the future.

Uranus teaches us to let go of the traditional way of doing things. While Saturn teaches us how to build some that will last. So get out your journal and start writing your next chapter.

Don’t forget that Mercury is still retrograde for most of this week, but will turn direct on Saturday. Next week you can start letting go of your retrograde due diligence like avoiding buying a new iPhone, double-checking that your emails sent, or perhaps waiting to sign that contract.

As always, don’t let retrogrades scare you, let them prepare you to take extra caution.

Mercury will officially clear its shadow on March 13th. You’ll be gleaning new insights into existing circumstances through mid-March.

Venus squares Mars on Friday bringing the passion and the tension up a notch. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just crabby; take a deep breath before engaging in an unnecessary fight. Better yet, go take a bath or a shower and return to your partner or friends refreshed.

The Sun moves into Pisces on Thursday and your fire can be cooled by the peace-loving Pisces waters.
