EP 97: New Moon in Cancer
It’s the first New Moon since early May that is free and clear of eclipses and Mercury retrograde. Now that is a reason to celebrate! Cancer is the sign ruled by the moon, so intentions set under this New Moon will be extra potent.
We’ve had a tough few weeks. Last week Mars in Leo filled in the 3rd spot on the debate stage with Saturn and Uranus. With all 3 planets in fighting form you may have experienced a blow up or you may have been the victim of someone else’s blow up.
Needless to say, we’re all feeling a little restless and impatient these days.
This week Venus follows in Mars’ footsteps and takes his spot on the debate stage, but unlike Mars she’s a diplomat always seeking balance. This is a time to identify what needs to be adjusted so that you can live in alignment with your values.
Early this week the Sun sextiled Uranus, so it’s possible that some changes that need to be made are finally feeling exciting and not dreadful. Use this momentum!
2021 is defined by this Saturn square Uranus transit that perfects three times. The first was in February, the second was in June, and the third will be in December.
You’ll have to wait until the end of the year to find out what this story means to you, but I’m guessing you have a few more chapters at your fingertips after this Mercury retrograde in Gemini, which is finally out of it’s post retrograde shadow.
The New Moon in Cancer on Friday is ripe for setting your intention and setting your attention on what needs to change.
Cancer is the archetype associated with the divine mother. You can’t give unless you have something to give, so set aside some time to nurture your soul this weekend and craft a plan to put your desires first on the agenda for the second half of 2021.
On Sunday Mercury, the planet that rules our fast moving mind, gets to chill out in Cancer. Now we start the emotional processing of all the information you’ve learned since May when Mercury first entered Gemini.
As I said, give yourself some time and space to nurture your soul AND nourish your body this weekend. Cancer season is prime time for rest, rejuvenation, and a return to your self.
