EP 103: Practical Dreaming with Mercury in Virgo

We’re still feeling those celebratory New Moon in Leo vibes, but you’re getting a dose of reality from all the Virgo energy in the heavens. While the sun is still shining bright at the party, the rest of the personal planets are getting to work.

My theme for this week is - practical dreaming. After many months of feeling stuck, restless, and unsure (thanks to Saturn square Uranus), you’re finally feeling some forward movement. The thing about moving forward is that you start to see what works and what doesn’t. If your idea now seems far fetched or the situation just isn’t aligning like you expected, you might have to pivot and adjust your plan of action.

But before Mercury makes his move into detail oriented Virgo, he is delivering important messages in Leo as he opposes Jupiter on Tuesday. Luckily Jupiter doesn’t do anything quietly, so you’ll be hearing them loud and clear.

Later this week, nuanced and gentle will take the place of bold and loud.

On Wednesday you can take the passion and enthusiasm of your New Moon ritual and give it a focused strategy.

Mercury, ruler of your mind and how you process information, enters the sign of systems and organization. At the same time Venus makes a harmonious aspect to Pluto. This is a dream recipe for cooking up a new bookkeeping system or finalizing that manuscript you want to send off.

In fact, Virgo is the sign of the editor. So this is the time to take your Leo season work of art and put the finishing touches on it. Mercury, Venus and Mars in Virgo will give you the discerning eye you need to cut the extra fluff and amplify the heart of the matter.

This weekend has a few unsettling transits that might make it difficult for you to know your limits. Lean into your support system, call your most practical friend, and if you notice yourself over extending yourself, watching conspiracy theory You Tubes, or spending too much money - take a pause. This is not the time to overdo it in any way.

Last, but not least, look out for any ego trips. You might have one or you might witness one when the Sun in confident Leo gives a funny look to Neptune, while the Sun, moon and Jupiter create a T-square in the skies.
