EP 104: Higher Consciousness + USA history in Afghanistan
It’s the last week of Leo season and it’s going out with a bang. Not only do we have the second Full Moon in Aquarius within one Leo season, but we also have Uranus stationing retrograde!
Full Moons are moments of enlightenment when the dark night sky is illumined by the moon reflecting the light of the Sun. Of course, when there are 2 back to back Full Moons in the same sign, that part of your chart is getting the interrogation treatment. Think big bright spotlight, Law & Order style.
The Full Moon on Sunday is conjunct Jupiter, the planet of expansion, so expect some AHA moments, revelations, or illumination of your consciousness.
In fact, I talk about consciousness a lot on the podcast this week.
The essence of being a conscious human being is being aware of your surroundings. You cannot elevate to higher states of consciousness without first being grounded in reality. And thus, we have to stay awake even when we’re witnessing heartbreak.
I’ve been watching the events in Afghanistan unfold all week and it inspired me to take an astrological deep dive into the history of the USA’s involvement since 2001. I hope you stay tuned for the last 20 minutes of the podcast and I hope it motivates you to take your role as a citizen seriously.
We, as humanity, need more conscious humans taking action politically if we are to mount any defense again the plagues of our planet - from Covid to racism to terrorism (both domestic and foreign), and of course the most existential threat of all, the climate crisis.
You might be wondering, why is this all happening right now?
It’s a lot! I know. Our souls can only bear so much grief.
From an astrological perspective, there is one culprit with his fingers all over this week, and that’s Uranus. He retrogrades Thursday, almost at the world point. When an outer planet activates one of the world points in astrology it means big, global events occur.
On a personal level, this Uranus retrograde invites you to reflect on all the ways your life has changed since the summer of 2020.
Give yourself a pat on the back, you made it! The past year has been chaotic, scary, and at times, felt hopeless, but you’re still pushing forward.
Let me leave you with two things:
Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. And name one thing you can be grateful for.
Please consider making a donation to No One Left Behind and helping our Afghan allies get safe passage out of Afghanistan and get resettled in their new homes. NOLB is working with the US government to identify people in harm’s way on the ground in Afghanistan and has an in-depth database of many of the Afghans who supported US forces over the last 20 years.
